Applications
There are many machining facilities worldwide but very few meet the requirements of the micro-electronics industry, operate in a clean environment and provide high levels of capability in plating and assembly. Passive Plus is one exception: As an industry leader, we go above and beyond these requirements to produce extremely high quality work. We fulfill the needs of many applications such as:

Metal Parts
All of our metal parts are manufactured in our own mechanical engineering facility or bought-in from approved specialist sources. Our own facility is equipped with fast up-to-date CNC machines using auto-CAD compatibility systems. Our newly equipped tool room is also available for lead bending, lid forming tools and production jigs and fixtures. We also use EDM machining and chemical milling for making ring frames, stepped lids and other irregular geometric package parts.

Plating
Successful plating depends to a great extent on the quality of the metal parts submitted and the control of the processes. We transfer burr free and uncontaminated parts to our plating facility in a condition that ensures satisfactory results.

As well as conventional wire and rig plating, we employ skills in selective area deposition and the plating of flexible circuits. We ensure consistent repeatability by rigid control of chemicals and processes, supported by a comprehensive quality control laboratory. Not surprisingly our plating has had approval from many market leaders in the aerospace and defence industries.

Quality Control
In addition to our environmental and mechanical testing facilities, Passive Plus Technology has a well-equipped inspection area and operates a EN ISO 9001:2000 quality system. We maintain full traceability on all products and our equipment includes:
